Although the world of vintage clothing is infested with mold and mildew, there are a lot of consumers eyeing for vintage clothing, particularly, vintage jeans. But looking for the perfect vintage design and finding the right fit is always a huge problem in vintage jeans shopping.

Vintage jeans may liven up your wardrobe but they are a pain to find so here are some quick tips that can make your vintage jeans hunting a little less painful. Sometimes you just want to go vintage instead of looking for cheap monday jeans.

Wear leotards since most shops that sell vintage jeans do not have a working fitting room or there is only one room and every customer in the store is lined up to fit there. Having a leotard on, you will not have to go to a fitting area to try your jeans.
Thrift stores, garage sales and flea markets only accept cash so make sure you bring enough for the hoard you will buy. Credit cards may be the most famous mode of payment now, but most garage sales are not credit card friendly.
If the jeans you find are a great fit and it is with the design that you want, but it is a little stained, do not hesitate to buy the piece. Just have it professionally cleaned and voila, good as “almost” new.
Sizes are not reliable. Did you know that the size 6 in the 50’s is now a size 10? So look beyond the size and check the fit by actually trying the pair on.
